Joseph Mazza is an American Artist & Designer who has been working in the creative field for over thirty years, and for the last sixteen years he has been drawing at his desk while working his nine to five jobs. His work is timely, fun and completely original. Educated in Graphic Design & Philosophy, influenced by comic books, video games and pop art, and decades of steady work as an Visual Designer.
"I do realize that the totality of work can make me look quite insane. This is true. But I also think that feeling makes the work so much better. I mean, who wants to be around a sane Artist. Sanity is boring."

More About The Artist
Joseph Mazza is a User Experience Designer, Product Innovator, and Software Engineer with over forty thousand hours as a professional Creator and Product Developer. He has shown in exhibitions at major art museums and local galleries in New York, Virginia and North Carolina, including multiple times at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art in Virginia Beach and Artspace in downtown Raleigh. He has over fifty thousand hours of drawing practice and experience with a multitude of drawing tools, stemming from his BFA in Graphic Design and a lifetime of drawing experience.

ARTIST STATEMENT:
"I love to draw. That's always been my thing. And I never get writer's block and I'll never run out of ideas. So I can do it until I die. And I probably will. After that, I wanna be in all the museums and art books, between Basquiat and Warhol, for some stupid little drawings. It that too unrealistic? I hope so. If it wasn't, I wouldn't be alive right now."

THis can be seen in his figure drawings form the time, visiting a 'Sunday morning Art group, where they would draw a nude model. because of this job, JMazza started seeing and draiwng the human body much differently than everyone else in class.
